Radioactivity Testing Service at JaICA (Japan Institute for the Control of Aging) Cs-134/137, I-131 Radioactivity Testing Service at JaICA (Japan Institute for the Control of Aging) Cs-134/137, I-131
JaICA provides radioactivity testing services for food and water samples.
Based on 'Test method of radioactive cesium in food' from Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare,
we can detect Cs-134, Cs-137 and I-131 accurately with Gamma spectrometry with germanium semiconductor detector.

JaICA has received ISO 17025: 2005 certification for its radioactvity testing services. ISO/IEC 17025 is the most important standard for calibration and testing laboratories, which has many commonalities with ISO 9001: 2000 standard, but is more specific in requirements for competence.
Certification Body: Japan Accreditation Board (JAB)
Certification Number: RTL03750
Standard: JIS Q 17025:2005 (ISO/IEC 17025:2005)
Scope of Certification: Radioactivity testing services (I-131, Cs-134, and Cs-137)
for food products and beverages
